The Morning
Rio de Janeiro is famous for its beaches, but if you want to make the most of them, it’s best to go there in the morning. This way, you avoid the crowds, and you avoid the intense heat. Copacabana is perhaps the coolest beach of the lot and offers beautiful views of the ocean and the mountains in the background. Sip a few cocktails, and just enjoy the nature around you.
Lunchtime
After a morning on the beach, you’re bound to work up an appetite. So, find the nearest restaurant that takes your fancy and try some traditional Brazilian food. There are no rules or regulations when it comes to choosing your restaurant or what you want to eat, as it’s down to you! If you’re feeling really naughty, you could even find yourself a buffet so you can try a bit of everything…

The Afternoon
Once you are full to the brim, it’s time to make your way to Cosme Velho. Once you get here, it’s time to board a cog train right to the top of the Corcovado peak. You’ll realize just why you’re doing this when you get to the top and spot Christ the Redeemer right in front of you. As if the actual statue wasn’t impressive enough, the views over Rio de Janeiro will truly take your breath away.
The Evening
Although it can be easy to assume that your tour will wind down in the evening, that just isn’t the case in Rio. It’s the city that never sleeps, and it’s not hard to find a party or a samba band kicking up a storm. Again, the choice really is yours. Try to see as many bars and establishments as possible, so you can truly get the authentic Brazilian experience.
