The Best Destinations for Winter Romance

There’s something incredibly romantic about wintertime. Maybe it’s the holidays that take place during that season, perhaps it’s the need to snuggle with someone else for warmth, or maybe it’s just the beauty of snow. Whatever it is, winter is the season of love, and we have just the romantic destinations for a winter getaway!

Paris, France is always a romantic destination, regardless of the time of year. After all, it isn't called the City of Love for nothing! Cuddle with your loved while while floating down the Seine River on a cruise, brave the cold at the top of the Eiffel Tower, or warm up in one of the city's many museums. Rome, Italy offers an incredible experience during the winter, as the city is less crowded than during the summer months. Fewer crowds mean an easier time visiting historical landmarks that are usually packed. Rome also boasts wonderful winter events and holiday markets.

If you don't want to travel too far, Banff, Canada is an excellent choice. Banff is a perfect destination if you want to see snow and do winter-related activities. The town offers skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, horse-drawn sleigh rides, ice skating, and helicopter tours, to name a few. Do keep in mind, though, that it can get extremely cold there.

Charleston, South Carolina goes all out for the holidays with Christmas lights that stay up well past the holiday. The city is charming all year round but is even more picturesque in the winter. If you choose to stay at the Spectator Hotel, you can even get a candlelit rose-filled bath.
