There’s nothing quite like having your holiday mapped out, tickets book and the hotel brochure in your hands. That time of year or that chance to unwind somewhere magical is really exciting and also incredibly liberating. The truth is that most of us tend to try more conventional things when it comes to having a holiday like a getaway in a resort, or a nice hotel room in a beautiful city or even just relaxing at home.

While there’s nothing wrong with any of these, life is simply too short not to try something more interesting. Like staying in a floating hotel! The idea itself just sounds awesome. So if you are in the mood for something a little different and love the idea of literally floating through your vacation – these floating hotels are a definite must!

The Float House was one of the first floating resorts to open in Thailand and there’s nothing more romantic than the River Kwai. I can’t imagine anything more romantic than simply floating down a river while you enjoy a meal and some time with your loved one. Definitely more suitable for couples though.
